Personalised training plan FAQs

We’re delighted to offer this to our wonderful fundraisers free of charge.

Full Potential will send your training plan via email. If you have questions or need further support, simply contact the team at [email protected]. They’re happy to stay in contact with you via email, SMS or WhatsApp, depending on your preference.

If you’re training for a marathon, Full Potential would recommend at least 12 weeks of training.

We’d suggest contacting Full Potential as soon as you sign up for a challenge. They can design a training plan that takes into account how much time you have before the challenge, or how much time you want to spend training for your challenge.

Full Potential will personalise your plan to your needs. The more information you share at the questionnaire stage, the more tailored your plan will be. And if you want to make adjustments to your plan, simply contact the Full Potential team at [email protected]

No – the Full Potential team will not share any information about you, your training or injuries with the team at Mind.

The Full Potential team only shares non-identifiable information – for example, they let us know how many personalised training plans they’ve sent out.

The initial plan is a guide for training only, but if you have questions about nutrition and hydration, feel free to reach out to the team at Full Potential.

We know physical activity can be an amazing way to support our mental health and help us feel good. But it isn’t helpful for everyone all the time and can lead to problems for some of us. It’s important to recognise some of us can develop an unhealthy relationship with exercise.

Over-exercising can be a form of self-harm. Exercising beyond your limits can cause both physical and emotional harm. It might start to be a way for you to avoid difficult emotions instead of getting support too.

If you’re concerned about your training:

Your health and wellbeing is the most important thing, and you need to take care of yourself.

Please don’t worry about missing a few days of training, it’s totally understandable that life sometimes gets in the way! But if you’re concerned that your training has gotten off-track, reach out to the Full Potential team. They’d be happy to advise and re-work your plan if this is needed.

If you’re seriously injured and your GP, healthcare provider or physiotherapist tells you to stop training, it’s important that you stop your training. You should let us – the team at Mind – know as soon as possible. We may be able to defer your place until next year.

If you have a minor injury, the team at Full Potential would be happy to help you adjust your training plan to give you time to recover.

We’re keen to hear how you’ve found the support you’ve received from Full Potential. If you’d like to share your feedback, please email [email protected]
