Derbyshire Mind – HR and quality manager

Do you share Derbyshire Mind’s vision and values? We have an exciting opportunity to become a vital part of Derbyshire Mind’s senior management team as HR and quality manager. You'll offer effective leadership and management of our HR and quality functions in line with our strategy and values.

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

  • Lead the operational management and administration of HR and quality across the organisation
  • Offer HR guidance and support to line managers
  • Manage and support an administrator
  • Lead on health and safety and equality, diversity and inclusion for the organisation
  • Coordinate the review process of organisational policies and procedures
  • Lead and develop Derbyshire Mind’s recruitment, induction and performance management processes
  • Ensure that Derbyshire Mind’s HR systems and processes are in line with employment law
  • Lead the delivery and development of staff and volunteer training
  • Coordinate Derbyshire Mind’s Mind Quality Mark (MQM) review process

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • Advanced IT skills, including in the use of Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy and report writing skills, with attention to detail
  • Well-developed influencing skills with the ability to deliver organisation-wide changes to systems and processes
  • CIPD qualification Level 5 or above (working towards or fully qualified)
  • Experience of implementing and maintaining effective operational HR systems 
  • Experience of working within internal and external quality frameworks and leading improvements in quality
  • Experience of developing and implementing policies, procedures and working practices
  • Knowledge of employment law and best practice in HR
