About the role

Derbyshire Mind has a long history of providing high quality, confidential, independent advocacy services. We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate, hard-working individuals to join us to support clients to express their views, wishes and feelings and assist them in safeguarding their rights.

The successful candidate will provide IMHA and IMCA statutory advocacy and act as Paid Representative for people subject to the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. They will support a range of clients in a variety of settings throughout Derbyshire. A commitment to upholding the rights of people with a wide range of conditions including acute mental health problems, learning disabilities, brain injury and dementia is essential.

A qualification in independent advocacy is desirable although not essential.
