Donating in memory of someone special

Hands holding a dandelion

Giving in memory of someone special is a personal way of remembering them. Donations made at the funeral, or during a celebration of their life are gratefully received. Every donation helps us reach out to people who need us, ensuring that no one is left to cope alone with a mental health problem.

Make a donation in memory of someone special

Big Give 2013

If you would like to remember someone by making a donation please donate here. You can tell us the name of this special person as you donate. We'll write and thank you for your kind gift, because we acknowledge all in memory donations where possible.

If you have some donations, or the proceeds of a collection made in memory and need to send these to us, cheques should be made payable to 'Mind' and mailed to Mind, 15-19 Broadway, Stratford, London E15 4BQ. If you're sending cheques from other people, please consider using an appropriate delivery method.

Collecting at a funeral, or memorial event?

Simply collecting donations instead of flowers at a funeral can help Mind to continue to provide vital support for anyone affected by mental health problems.

We offer a range of materials to help, from funeral collection envelopes, cardboard collection boxes and pin badges. The collection envelopes help to increase your donation at no cost to you, by £2.50 for every £10 donated with gift aid. They are also suitable for celebration of life services, and similar memorial events.

When requesting envelopes, you can also ask for some Mind blue pin badges, and cardboard collection boxes. You can also let us know if you've any special requests for your pack.

Create or find a Tribute Fund on Memory Space

Memory Space is our Tribute Fund website.

You can set up, or search for an existing tribute fund using our Memory Space website. By creating your page, you can share special memories and stories about your loved one, upload pictures and ask your friends and wider network to support the fund.  Many people have used their page to share information on attending the funeral. You can add any donations already received in memory of your loved one to the fund.

It's really simple to set up but if you need any support please get in touch.

Support for people doing events in memory

If you have registered for an event, planning to fundraise or are doing a challenge in memory of a loved one, you can also create a page linked to any Tribute Fund already set up on our Memory Space website.

This keeps all fundraising and support in one place, growing the fund. Please obtain the permission of the fund holder, before adding your fundraising activity to their page. Search for a Tribute Fund now.
