MEAM Partnerships Manager – Midlands (Substance Misuse)

Closing date:
06/03/2017
Location:
Home based in Midlands
Hours:
35 hours per week
Salary:
£31,785 per annum

People with multiple needs face a combination of problems including homelessness, substance misuse, contact with the criminal justice system and mental ill health. They fall through the gaps between services and systems, making it harder for them to address their problems and lead fulfilling lives.

Mind works with Clinks and Homeless Link through the Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) coalition. Working together, we support local areas across England to develop an effective, coordinated approach to multiple needs that can increase wellbeing, reduce costs to public services and improve people’s lives. We achieve this through working with local areas to implement the MEAM Approach, a framework to help coordinate services for people with multiple needs.

About the role

This role is one of five new positions being created across MEAM to support the expansion of the MEAM Approach and the setting up of regional learning hubs.

You will be employed by Mind and become part of the Local Networks Team, a team of regionally based experts in one of the four following fields – criminal justice, homelessness, mental health and substance misuse – based at each of the MEAM partner organisations.

The team’s ethos will be one of partnership and collaboration with a specific focus on the practical application of co-production and systems change. Working as part of this team, you will support around nine local areas to better coordinate their services for people with multiple needs.

We are interested in people from a wide range of backgrounds and your attitude is just as important as your experience. If you are excited by Mind’s mission and the chance to work on this fast-paced and important programme, then we want to hear from you!

This is one of five regional and London-based jobs that MEAM is currently recruiting.  If you have an interest in homelessness, substance misuse, mental health or criminal justice, please see the MEAM website for a full list of the exciting opportunities available www.MEAN.org.uk/jobs.
